A game of two halves

They say an active mind makes a happy person and, after last week, I think I can concur. It was a week that certainly required a lot of focus because, in addition to running an expanding pest control company, we also had two very important exhibitions and two award ceremonies. It’s at time like this that you realise how important having a good team around you is!

Cleankill shines at local and national business awards

Croydon-based Cleankill Pest Control has cause to celebrate after being named ‘Company of the Year’ at the 2019 British Pest Management Awards (BPMAs). At the same event, Cleankill’s Managing Director, Paul Bates, was Highly Commended in the ‘Unsung Hero’ category.

Cleankill shortlisted at Gatwick Diamond Business Awards

Cleankill Pest Control is pleased to announce it has been shortlisted for two awards at the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards 2019.

The company has been shortlisted in the Best Employer category and Managing Director Paul Bates has been named finalist in the Business Person of the Year category.

Cleankill continues expansion with acquisition of Pest Control Bucks and Bird Control Sussex

Following the purchase of Bristol-based Good Riddance Pest Control at the end of 2018, Cleankill is pleased to announce it has now completed the acquisition of Pest Control Bucks and Bird Control Sussex. Both purchases follow the retirement of the current owners: Gerard and Joanne Ashcroft at Pest Control Bucks and John Butler at Bird Control Sussex.

Cleankill is warning people not to tackle wasp nests this year as the dry weather has resulted in extra-large nests and more wasps surviving than usual.

Cleankill received a record number of call-outs for wasp problems in London and the South-east during July, and August is set to be busy as well. Last year, because of the wet weather, there were fewer calls than usual.
